Hypericum 'Miracle Attraction' is a much sought-after, new variety of Hypericum (St John's Wort) and much prized with gardeners both for its abundant, golden yellow flowers with their amazing crown-like sprays of anthers and also for its glossy red fruits. Another plant that's really quite difficult to find, we're delighted to be one of the first to be able to bring it to you. Miracle Attraction bursts into life in early spring with a flourish of dark-green leaves that provide the perfect foil for its cheery blooms and later bright red, cone-shaped berries. A flower arranger's dream (and a gardener's for that matter), this hypericum is ideal for a sunny or part-shaded position, and because of its compact nature, makes the perfect specimen for a pot, so you don't even need a garden to grow it. Bees and many other beneficial pollinating insects find the sunny flowers of Hypericum irresistible and you're guaranteed months of colour as it starts blooming in June and continues right through to September, with its berries appearing from August. Perfect as a hedging or specimen plant, Fagus sylvatica 'Atropunicea' is a purple beech which will certainly stand out from the normal greens in your garden. Echinacea, also known as the Coneflower, are hardy perennials that flower at the height of summer and continue until the first autumn frosts. The name refers to the cone-shaped centre of the large, brightly coloured flowers. Not only are they beautifully, they're also one of the best plants you can grow for attracting all manner of wildlife into your garden. 'Evolution Colorific' has classic Echinacea flowers, daisy-like and packed with petals in vibrant pink hues with green central cones from July onwards. Carried on long, straight and sturdy stems, they are wonderful cut flowers and are adored by bees and butterflies and once they fade, birds will feast on the seeds, so try to resist the temptation to deadhead the later season blooms. Popular in cottage garden planting, they're perfectly at home in borders and pots, and look spectacular planted in groups, returning year after year to give you a stunning display. Containing all the major plant nutrients plus magnesium and trace elements, making it the perfect feed for tree ferns in pots and planted outdoors. It's also an ideal feed for indoor and outdoor palms, bamboo, grasses and other ferns. Tree ferns thrive in a sheltered, humid and shaded position, in humus-rich soil, gaining nutrients from decaying vegetation that falls from the forest canopy into the crown of the tree fern. Vitax Tree Fern and Palm feed replicates this process to maximising growth, maintain colour and ensure a strong, healthy plant. Watering and Feeding: The trunk and crown of tree ferns will not tolerate drying out, so water regularly to ensure that it remains moist, and spray the trunk with water during hot or dry weather; this will encourage the tree to send out roots. After roots have established, you can commence feeding, applying the liquid feed to both crown and trunk every 7-10 days during the growing season (from April to July). How to use: Measure 1 capful (20ml) and add to 2L of water. On an already wetted trunk, slowly pour the mixture into the crown and allow it to overflow and soak into the trunk. A thick layer of organic mulch on the ground surrounding the trunk will help feed the plant slowly and naturally. Feed palms, bamboos grasses and other ferns using 1 capful in 2L of water every 7-10 days while in growth.

Vinca minor, better known as the periwinkle is a wonderful, low growing evergreen perennial with glossy green foliage on long stems that will root where they touch the ground. Between April and September beautiful, five petalled, star shaped flowers appear in shades purple, blue and white scattered across the carpet of foliage. They are wonderful for brightening up dull parts of the garden and provide excellent groundcover, helping to keep weed in check. For something different, try growing periwinkles in hanging baskets so that the stems can trail over the sides. Although they flower best in sunshine, they do very well in partial shade and will even tolerate growing in shadow. Supplied as 12 plug plants, ready to be potted on or planted out into your garden. A relative of the well-known yellow Forsythia, this unusual deciduous shrub produces a stunning winter flower display just as the days start to lengthen to spring. An easy to grow, compact shrub, the branches are covered with dainty, star-shaped, gorgeously fragrant white flowers - occasionally tinged with pink, each one with a yellow centre - which appear on bare stems before the leaves re-emerge. The show doesn't end there either as the green leaves turn purple before they fall in the autumn, so you get year-round interest!
