We were blown away when we saw these simply beautiful Living Willow sculptures - combining fabulous designs with easy care gardening, for amazing garden impact. Superb as a garden feature plant, each sculpture is hand-made, so varies slightly form pot to pot, from living, but dormant Willow stems, skilfully woven into stunning designs. Once planted inot the pot, they begin to root away, and then in Spring produce a crown of leaves on top. The overall effect of a stunning trunk effect, and leaves on top creates a magical look. Grow them on into larger pots, or plant direct into the ground, over a number of years, the individual stems gradually grow into each other and merge into one exotic lattice trunk. They are reasonably straight forward to care for over rmany years. Cut back top growth hard in early Spring, then try to shape 2 or 3 times in Summer. Remove any leaves that occasionally appear on the bare stems. NB: Heights quoted are height of stems above pot, before leaves grow. When the willow is first planted you can't water it enough! Keep well watered until it has formed a good clump of root.

This lovely new selection of larger leaved Euonymus has bright gold-edged variegations, creating an evergreen ball of colour atop a straight standard stem. Named in honour of the much-loved Queen, 'Victoria' Plum is the UK's favourite plum variety by a mile and deservedly so! 'Sunburst' is a good sweet cherry tree variety that performs well in the UK, producing dark red cherries in July, a week or so earlier than Stella. Not as vigorous as Stella, so more easy to manage. Self-fertile, a good all round garden cherry tree.
Medlars are a somewhat old-fashioned fruit in today's supermarket world, but are a spectacular and rewarding specimen tree. A fabulous Spring blossoming tree, it produces gorgeous pink blossom, and in late Autumn unusual fruits, not exactly a thing of beauty, and which are tart if eaten from the tree, but sweeten beautifully if picked and ripened for a few weeks, and can keep for Months in cool and dry conditions. They then make excellent jellies, as well as cooking well in mixed fruit pies and puddings though, fresh from the trees. Something really different, yet easy for the productive orchard garden!
Here's a superb sweet cherry that's been specially raised for patio growing. Little Stella 'Lapins' hails from Canada and is considered to be an improved Stella which is one of its parents.
