Please see description below for full product details.Lavender 'Munstead' will transform your garden with colour and incredible fragrance! These traditional cottage garden favourites are proven winners in UK gardens & ideal as a fragrant hedge or border make sure you plant them somewhere you'll be able to catch the magnificent scent! They will attract bees and other pollinators perfect for fruit tree growers! They'll stay compact, reaching 45-60cm (1-2ft) tall. Very hardy, incredibly easy to grow, and drought tolerant keep them in great shape by pruning twice a year in spring and late summer. You can even cut the stems to make fragrant indoor dried displays!Top Tips- In late summer, clip the plants back lightly after the flowers have faded. Cut the stems back by a few inches, but not so far that the stems are bare of live foliage, and plants will then have time to produce new shoots before winter dormancy.Care Guide- This drought-tolerant plant thrives in a sunny border, container, herb or gravel gardens. Best planted between April and May when the soil is warming up, lavender thrives in most free-draining soils in full sun. Heavier soils should have some grit added to improve drainage and to open them up. Space plants 90cm (3ft) apart, or if growing a hedge, 30cm (1ft) apart or, 45cm (18in) for larger cultivars. Lavender can be grown in large pots, 30-40cm (1ft-16in) diameter, using a multipurpose or loam-based compost such as JI No 3, with some extra coarse grit, (up to 30%), to improve drainage, along with some controlled release fertiliser granules. Ensure that the compost is regularly watered in summer, although for improved cold tolerance, kept on the dry side during winter by standing in a cold greenhouse or in the rain shadow of walls.Planting Time:March - AugustFlowering Time:June - SeptemberAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire. Castor Oil Plant Fatsia Japonica - Single Established Plant

All heights listed are approximate and fully established plant heights may vary. The amount of foliage, buds or bloom on the plant will depend on what part of the season the product is purchased. Please see description below for full product details. For a medium-sized shrub that will bring architectural interest to your garden all year long, Fatsia japonica is just the ticket! A spectacular evergreen shrub, it produces impressively large, serrated, glossy green leaves, which remain throughout the year, giving interest in all seasons. Also known as the Japanese aralia or castor oil plant, mature Fatsia plants produce exotic spikes of creamy white flowers, followed by attractive deep purple, almost black berries. Definitely a plant for novice gardeners and seasoned pros alike, Fatsia japonica will grow well in any garden and is a great plant for difficult shady areas where other plants struggle – in fact they perform best in light or dappled shade, making a glossy backdrop to other plants with their amazing palm-like leaves. Holder of a much deserved RHS Award of Garden Merit, plants really need very little attention to give you amazing results whether you are strapped for time or a complete gardening novice, and you can be sure that this is a plant that has been rigorously trialled and proven to excel in UK gardens. Supplied as an established plant approx. 60cm tall (inc 2L pot) ready for planting straight out into the garden. Fatsia is also a great plant to complement a large decorative pot on the patio, where its architectural shape can make dramatic, tropical feature. Top Tips- Older plants will easily tolerate rough treatment and the odd hack back is soon forgotten with a burst of new growth.Care GuidePlanting Advice for Fatsia japonica:- Shrub roots generally tend to spread out rather than down, so dig a planting hole 3 x wider than the roots of the shrub you're planting and mix some well-rotted compost or manure with the soil from the hole and use this to re-fill one the shrub is in place.- We've found that a square hole is better than a round one as the new roots, once they reach the edges tend to grow in a circle round the circumference of the hole whereas when they reach the corners of a square hole, they find it easier to grow through.- Before planting soak container-grown shrubs thoroughly and allow to drain.- Remove the plant from its pot and tease out a few of the roots.- Add Mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help plants establish quicker.- Place your shrub in the hole at the same level at the pot.- Refill the hole with the earth removed (backfilling).- Firm in the soil with your heel, avoiding the root ball.- Water well.- Mulch around the base of the plant with a collar, compost, gravel, bark etc.Aftercare advice for your Fatsia plant:- Best in shade where it will bring an almost tropical look to beds and borders.- Not fussy with soil type and in fact is happiest in heavy clay.- Protect plants from cold, drying winds.- Older leaves may turn yellow and then brown - just trim them off leaving a 1' stub which quickly falls off.- Leaves will blacken in extreme cold (-4°C or below) but miraculously the plant will quickly recover as the temperature rises - any damaged foliage can then be cut back.Pruning Advice for your Castor oil plant:- Prune lightly in mid to late spring, trimming back any shoots that spoil its shape.Planting Time:All yearFlowering Time:September - NovemberFruiting Time:October - NovemberAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire. It's a compact and slow growing variety so it is perfect for smaller gardens and this semi-evergreen Daphne produces flowers on new growth, meaning the creamy white blooms just keep on coming right through the summer! We've grown this superb plant on a little longer than those normally available from other online garden stores, to give you much better plant for your money. Grow it in a pot and place on the patio or near a garden path so you enjoy the delightful scent! Height and spread 90 cm (3ft). Supplied as an established plant in a 2Lpot ready for planting into your favourite container!Top Tips- Grown for their beautiful and intensely fragrant blooms, Daphnes are best planted near paths and doorways or at the front of borders where it is easy to enjoy their delicious fragrance when in flower.Care Guide- Plants will thrive in a sunny or part-shaded location with well drained soil. They don't like dry roots, so water regularly and deeply. Daphne will establish best if planted in the spring when the soil is warm - from March to October. Dig a hole twice the width of the rootball. Sprinkle in a handful of blood, fish and bone and work into the ground. If your soil is heavy add plenty of well rotted compost to the area and dig it in well. Horticultural sand/grit added to the mix is also beneficial. Place the plant into the hole, back-filling so that it is at the same depth as was in the pot. Fill around the root ball and firm the soil down gently but firmly. - Water well. - Grated plants should be planted with the join a couple of centimetres below the soil level. Where necessary after flowering, lightly trim to remove misplaced branches and maintain a compact habit, otherwise a quick clear-up of fallen leaves will suffice.Planting Time:March - OctoberFlowering Time:April - OctoberAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire. Camellia Japonica Collection - 3x Plants
  • £19.99

This product is offered for sale for home delivery exclusively via our website only. The images represent established plants, the supplied product may be younger. All heights listed are approximate and fully established plant heights may vary. The amount of foliage, buds or bloom on the plant will depend on what part of the season the product is purchased. Please see description below for full product details. One of the nation's favourite early spring plants, Camellias are, when given the right conditions, very straightforward and problem free. Providing fabulous displays of flowers when almost every other plant is still asleep for winter, they’re ideal for providing a bold splash of colour when the garden is quite drab – plus they’re fabulous in pots where they can be moved to any part of your garden. The key to success with Camellias is they need acidic soils - like Rhododendrons. This means they can easily be grown in pots in ericaceous composts, and provided they are fed with specialist ericaceous feed, will provide many years of colour and interest. They are evergreen, and their neat, shiny, tough leaves will provide a backdrop to other plants all year. Flower buds start swelling late the previous summer, and keep getting bigger all autumn and winter, until they burst open in early spring. The flowers can be caught by frosts when they are opening, but the buds are generally fine, and the plant is 100% hardy and tough. Supplied as three plants in 9cm pots ready for potting on or planting out, each Camellia collection contains one each of Mikenjaku- Vivid, scarlet-red, semi-double blooms with a central crown of yellow stamens 3m x 2m. Fl Feb - AprilBrushfield's Yellow - Creamy white, anemone-form blooms with a light-yellow tone to the centre of the flower.Top Tips- Early morning sun will damage frost-covered buds, so be sure to plant in dappled shade where the sun doesn't get to the plant until late morning.Care Guide- To prevent damage to the buds and flowers protect from cold, dry winds and early morning sun.- Water established plants in dry weather to prevent bud drop, especially in the summer months when the buds are forming out of sight.- Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser in mid-spring and again in June and mulch annually with shredded bark or well-rotted leaf mold.- After flowering, lightly trim or prune any branches that spoil the appearance of the plant.Planting Time:February - NovemberFlowering Time:February - AprilAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire. Mangave 'Mission to Mars' - Single Established Plant

Not as recent marketing would have you believe a plant that has been created for men, but rather a new and exciting development in succulent breeding that is taking the gardening world by storm. A cross between the Manfreda and the Agave, Mangaves are becoming increasingly popular as the interest in Xeric landscaping grows - the process of gardening that reduces or eliminates the need for supplemental moisture from watering. Manfredas have rosettes of coloured leaves branching from a very short stem, often with creamy, tubular flowers at the end of a long stalk. Agaves on the other hand are well known for their strong succulent leaves that form large rosettes. These interesting hybrids combine the best features of both types the better growth rate and the interesting patterns and colours of Manfreda, and the habit and refinement of Agave. Varieties can be spotted, blotched or plain green in various shades and with an interesting texture, they can be a bit pointy, but definitely not as prickly as a cactus. Some of the varieties have really interesting leaf shape too, from slim and long to short and broad and wavy or straight too. 'Mission to Mars' is a striking variety of Mangave with intense red coloration to the leaves which gives rise to its name. The thick green leaves are heavily speckled with burgundy red and form a gently arching habit with margins that curl upward. This highlights the cinnamon-coloured spines giving the plant an appearance much like a tropical bromeliad. Compact in growth and visually stunning, Mangaves make a perfect patio plant, sitting happily in a pot through the summer on your decking or balcony, they will then make a perfect houseplant through the winter in a bright room. All varieties should be watered only sparingly as they are ideally suited to dessert, arid conditions and are lovers of warm temperatures - they make an ideal specimen for a greenhouse or as a houseplant for a bright rooms - indeed anything less than 65F will result in the plant becoming dormant. Supplied as an established plant in a 15cm pot, ready for immediate potting on. Eventual height and width 25cm x 55cm (10 x 22in).Top Tips- Overwintering plants should be kept them cool with the soil barely moist. In spring, return them to the garden and reintroduce to full sun gradually to prevent scorching. Plants will colour up better in sunlight outdoors.Care GuidePlanting Advice for Mangave:- Using a gritty compost, plant into a container.- Firm the soil and add a gravel mulch to the top of the soil- Water well and leave to settle for 2-4 weeks before watering again when the soil is dryAftercare Advice from Mangave:- During the summer water regularly at roughly fortnightly intervals when the compost is dry. In winter, reduce to a maximum of once a month, and then only lightly.- Keep the plants in a bright, unheated room or conservatory over winter and then move back outside during the summer.- Feeding is not normally required, although during their growing season, they won’t object, and you should add light nitrogen feed once a fortnight.Pruning Advance for Mangave:- No pruning is needed. Any leaves that have dies back should be removed with a sharp pair of secateurs.Planting Time:April - AugustAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire. Pawpaw Fruit Tree Asimina Triloba - Single Established Plant
  • £19.99

This product is offered for sale for home delivery exclusively via our website only. The images represent established plants, the supplied product may be younger. All heights listed are approximate and fully established plant heights may vary. The amount of foliage, buds or bloom on the plant will depend on what part of the season the product is purchased. Please see description below for full product details.A decorative shrub that can be grown outside, the pawpaw is a garden-worthy plant that will give a long season of interest. The show begins in spring, when the deep burgundy-purple, cup-shaped flowers burst from their buds in May. With an unusual form, they consist of 6 petals - 3 outer and 3 inner - giving a delightful show that always gets attention. These are followed in hot summers by oval, edible fruits that colour up from yellow to a rich ochre - think of the colour of a ripe banana. The long lime-green leaves then dominate the show, gradually turning golden-yellow before falling in the autumn. Tasting like a cross between a banana and a mango, pawpaw is said to have a sweet custard-like flavour which makes them a great delicacy - however, you're unlikely to see them commercially grown as plants can be male, female or hermaphroditic. Although they have both male and female reproduction parts, they are not self-pollinating and need pollination from another unrelated pawpaw tree. Hardy to -10C, the Pawpaw benefits from a warm position in the garden such as a sheltered, south-facing wall where it is best grown as an ornamental multi-stemmed shrub. While plants can reach up to 8m in their native US, they're more likely to attain a modest 4m here in the UK.Supplied as an established plant in a 3L pot ready for immediate planting.Top Tips- Pot-grown shrubs can be planted at any time of the year as long as the soil is not waterlogged or frozen. If in doubt, err towards spring but remember to keep pots well-watered so that the soil does not dry out.Care GuidePlanting Advice for your Asimina triloba Pawpaw tree:- Grow Paw Paw in a sunny, sheltered site in well-drained, preferable acid soil. Protect from frost and winds.- Paw paw trees need well-draining soil that is high in organic matter so if your soil is heavy, then you can improve drainage by adding sand or grit.- Dig a planting hole 3 x wider than the roots of the shrub you're planting and mix some well-rotted compost or manure with the soil from the hole and use this to re-fill once the shrub is in place.- We've found that a square hole is better than a round one as the new roots, once they reach the edges tend to grow in a circle round the circumference of the hole whereas when they reach the corners of a square hole, they find it easier to grow through.- Before planting soak container-grown shrubs thoroughly and allow to drain.- Remove the plant from its pot and tease out a few of the roots.- Add Mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help plants establish quicker.- Place your shrub in the hole at the same level at the pot.- Refill the hole with the earth removed (backfilling).- Firm in the soil with your heel, avoiding the root ball and water well.- Mulch around the base of the plant with a collar, compost, gravel, bark etc.Aftercare advice for Asimina triloba:- The paw paw tree likes to be kept in continuously moist soil.- Keep plants well-watered while they establish.- Hardy to -10°C, protect from cold winds as it is these that tend to cause the most damage to young plants.Pruning Advice for Pawpaw:- Pawpaws require no special pruning; only occasional maintenance is needed to remove any growth that has been damaged over winter.Planting Time:February - NovemberFlowering Time:May - JuneFruiting Time:SeptemberAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire. All heights listed are approximate and fully established plant heights may vary. The amount of foliage, buds or bloom on the plant will depend on what part of the season the product is purchased. Please see description below for full product details. Also known as the creeping blue blossom, (or Californian Lilac), this Ceanothus certainly lives up to its name, growing into a gorgeous mounded shrub with glossy evergreen leaves and powder-blue flowers in the spring which will delight everyone who sees it. The pale blue flowers form a spectacular cloud of colour during May and June and will attract a host of butterflies and other pollinators into your garden, making it invaluable for supporting our native wildlife as well as thrilling your senses! You can therefore plant this in the garden with confidence, for stunning displays for many years to come. Supplied as an established plants in9cm pots, ready to plant straight out. Grows to H1.5m (5ft) x W4m (13ft), flowers May - June.Top Tips- Perfect for ground cover, your plant will spread quickly to inhibit weed growthCare GuidePlanting Advice for your Ceanothus thyrsiflorus var. repens:- Grow Ceanothus in a sunny, sheltered site in fertile, well-drained soil. Protect from frost and winds.- Dig a planting hole 3 x wider than the roots of the shrub you're planting and mix some well-rotted compost or manure with the soil from the hole and use this to re-fill once the shrub is in place.- We've found that a square hole is better than a round one as the new roots, once they reach the edges tend to grow in a circle round the circumference of the hole whereas when they reach the corners of a square hole, they find it easier to grow through.- Before planting soak container-grown shrubs thoroughly and allow to drain.- Remove the plant from its pot and tease out a few of the roots. Add Mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help plants establish quicker.- Place your shrub in the hole at the same level at the pot and refill the hole with the earth removed (backfilling).- Firm in the soil with your heel, avoiding the root ball and water well.- Mulch around the base of the plant with a collar, compost, gravel, bark etc.- If you're planting into pots, place some old rocks, stones or gravel in the bottom of the pot for drainage and ballast.- Use the best compost you can buy and some sand or grit for drainage.Aftercare Advice for Ceanothus:- Keep plants well-watered while they establish, especially if planted up in a pot.- Hardy to -10°C, protect from cold winds as it is these that tend to cause the most damage to young plants.Pruning Advice for Ceanothus thyrsiflorus:- Ceanothus requires no special pruning; only occasional maintenance is needed to remove any growth that has been damaged over winter.Planting Time:February - NovemberFlowering Time:May - JuneAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire.
