Native to Asia, Hibiscus syriacus are popular with British gardeners for their late season flowers, when many other shrubs are a bit colourless, due to flowering earlier in the year. Hibiscus syriacus 'Purple Ruffles' has pink-purple flowers, with double and triple layers of petals, in abundance and is ideal for larger gardens.
