A rare treat for any garden enthusiast, Acnistus australis 'Blue Angel's Trumpet' will give you a magnificent display of true blue trumpet shaped flowers during the summer. This tender, semi evergreen shrub is best suited to a conservatory or sunny patio as it will need to be brought in over the winter to protect it from frosts, but whilst it is in season it is certainly an impressive impact plant. The 2 - 3 inch (5 - 8 cm) blooms are produced in abundance and hang along the entire length of the branches, standing out beautifully against the dark green foliage. Native to Asia, Hibiscus syriacus are popular with British gardeners for their late season flowers, when many other shrubs are a bit colourless, due to flowering earlier in the year. Hibiscus syriacus 'Purple Ruffles' has pink-purple flowers, with double and triple layers of petals, in abundance and is ideal for larger gardens. Geranium 'Best Red' F1 Hybrid is a great variety if you are looking for a traditional geranium, with scarlet red flowers.
Rarely found in the UK, this hardy shrub, native to eastern USA is highly adaptable to gardens across the country. In mid-summer the flowers appear, deep-red in colour and with a strong spicy-cinnamon fragrance, even when the flowers have gone, crush the leaves to release the scent too!
Clematis 'Shirayukihime' is a large-flowered variety that bears wide, grey-white flowers with superbly contrasting yellow anthers. It is early to flower, with blooms appearing in May/June and a second flush in September that continues into autumn, providing an extended season of interest. Clematis 'Elsa Spath' will be in bloom from June to September giving you plenty of time to enjoy the strong violet-blue flowers that have a centre of contrasting red anthers. Clematis viticella 'Xerxes', often called 'Elsa Spath' will grow to approx 3m or 10' each season making it suitable for growing amongst mature shrubs, or up against a wall, pergola, trellis or fence. The rich colouring of 'Elsa Spath' lends itself to be placed close to blooms in various shades of pink so that they will complement each other perfectly. Height: 3m (10'). Early fruiting and self fertile variety, that bears sweetly flavoured blueberries. Fruit can be harvested from early July, a year from planting. It's also an attractive shrub, that displays pretty white flowers in spring, and bright red foliage in autumn too. Ht. 1.8m. Supplied in 1.5 litre pots.

Viburnum x globosum 'Jermyns Globe' loves the UK climate, and grows well on chalky soils and heavy clay soils and even in coastal areas that can prove difficult for many other plants. Loose branching clusters of scented white blooms appear from pink buds in spring, nicely complementing the gleaming, evergreen foliage. The fading blooms are followed by shimmer, metallic blue berries. Viburnum x globosum 'Jermyns Globe' is easy to grow, making an ideal bushy shrub or small tree.
