The fastest of all raspberries, this unique berry is compact and ideal for growing in pots. The medium-sized fruits are produced from July and have sumptuous, dark red, golden, and purple colours to them. 'Summer Lovers' is classed as an autumn-fruiting raspberry, however once established it will start to bear fruit in the summer from the middle of July - 3 weeks before 'Autumn Bliss'. In addition, and as a contrast to the classic summer raspberries, this one is a primocane variety bearing fruit on new wood therefore meaning you'll get fruit in the very first year - no need to wait a year for crops! Easy to maintain, it requires just a little prune to simply remove old canes once they are older than 18 months and that's it. A breakthrough in raspberry breeding, 'Summer Lovers Garden Red', 'Garden Gold' and 'Garden Purple' beats other established varieties in fruiting time, exceeding the current August crop of the earliest autumn berries. In fact, this variety has made the term 'autumn fruiting' obsolete as it matures in the middle of summer! Easy to grow and look after, these raspberry plants can be grown and picked without problem in small spaces, in the garden, on a balcony or terrace, as they reach less than a metre. In this collection you will receive: 1 x Raspberry Summer Lovers Garden Gold 1 x Raspberry Summer Lovers Garden Red 1 x Raspberry Summer Lovers Garden Purple The term 'fruits of your labour' has never been more appropriate! Supplied as a collection of 3 established plants in 9cm pots, ready for planting.

H10cm (4in)x W100cm (3ft)Fl April - September.Top Tips- Plant them with evergreen ferns for extended winter interestCare GuidePlanting Advice for Vinca minor:- Before planting, prepare the soil by digging over and removing any weeds. Incorporate some well-rotted manure to enrich the soil if necessary.- When planting a number of perennials, arrange them on the surface so you can see how they will look before planting.- Individually knock out each plant from its container. Look at the roots if they are circling around the compost, it is best to tease them out. To do this, push your fingers into the rootball along the bottom edge and pull. Do this in a couple of places. This should encourage the roots to spread into the surrounding soil.- Next use a trowel or spade to create a hole just deep and wide enough to set in the rootball.- The aim is to bury just the roots, leaving the bases of the stems (when in growth in summer) or the shoots (in spring) above ground.- Firm back around the soil, using your hand for small clumps and your heel on larger areas.- Water in well to settle the soil and prevent desiccation.Aftercare Advice for periwinkles:- Keep plants well-watered until established when they will become more drought tolerant.Pruning Advice for vinca:- Pruning is not normally needed; however, any unwanted shoots can be cut back in spring.- Cutting back to a couple of inches after blooming every couple of years will help to keep plants dense.Planting Time:February - NovemberFlowering Time:April - SeptemberAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire.
