Reaching around 1m in height and width, Weigela 'Monet' is a lovely spring-flowering shrub, with big, lipstick-pink tubular flowers in spring. However, the real highlight is its foliage which forms a neat mound of pink-blushed leaves. Each green leaf is edged with a variable cream variegation, with varying tints of rose-pink flushing throughout. Variegation will change depending on light exposure - whiter variegation develops in shade and deepest pink in full sun - nevertheless a picture wherever it is grown!
