Slowly growing into large clumps, Red Baron boasts 50cm long leaves that are green near the base turning more intensively red towards its tips. Equally at home in semi-shade as it is full sun, this grass is great for making a statement in pots or can be grown alongside perennials or other grasses in beds. If you really want to make an impact, plant it end-masse, in swathes or as an edging plant alongside a path. Dead easy to look after water it occasionally, especially in pots, and cut plants to ground level when they start to wither later in the year or before new growth appears in spring.Top Tips- These ornamental grasses are deciduous, cut back stems close to ground level from late February through to the end of March before new growth starts.Care Guide- Before planting, prepare the soil by digging over and removing any weeds. Kit includes a yellow water lily (Nymphaea chromotella), planting basket, top quality aquatic soil and decorative gravel. Top Tips- Water lilies flourish in still water, so do not plant them near a pond pump or fountain. As these Lilies are dry-packed, young plants, they need starting off gently. Supplied as a pair of Italian Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens Pyramidalis) trees in 14cm diameter pots.Top Tips- For best shape, remove any fircones that form, and keep supported for 2 years until establishedCare Guide- Plant your cypress trees where they can get full sun and in well-drained soil. If using a container, a sol based potting compost is ideal.- Dig a planting hole larger than the root ball of the cypress tree and add organic matter into the hole. We recommend the use of mycorrhizal fungi when planting.- Place the tree into the hole and backfill, ensuring that the stem is at the same level as when it was in the pot.
