'Sweet Seduction' is one of the Seduction series of mophead hydrangeas, bred in China to be naturally compact and prolifically flowering. Beautifully textured pale pink blooms with ruffled edges are borne on large, extravagant flower heads carried on strong stems from June to October, a stunning sight and as summer passes they gradually change colour to purple tinted with green. The foliage is mid-green and heavily toothed, adding yet more texture to this already wonderfully tactile shrub, and autumn turns the leaves to a soft, creamy yellow. Seduction hydrangeas are ideal for growing in large pots and make spectacular feature plants on patios, terraces and balconies, and they're also magnificent in borders, where they're large enough to make and impact but won't take over. The large flower heads consist of sterile coloured bracts which look like flowers and make fantastic cut flowers for both summer colour and dried winter arrangements. Also, they can be left on the plant during the winter, where they'll make a home for overwintering insects and look great during frosty weather. Hardy Geraniums, or 'Cranesbills' as they are commonly known, are one of the easiest and best garden performers for low maintenance, flowering displays and versatility to growing conditions. Tree fern specialists HSK have developed this specific concentrated Tree Fern Feed to get the best results from their wonderful tree fern logs. In their native habitat, tree ferns grow in dense shady wooded areas, beneath the main tree canopy. Leaves falling off trees gather in the crown of the tree fern, and mix with rain, slowly feeding the top of the log, where the new fronds emerge. This is unlikely to happen here in UK gardens, even in shady areas, so this specialist tree fern feed mimics the nutrients provided in their habitat, with a balanced feed to encourage strong frond growth. Buxus feed contains vital plant foods and trace elements for good establishment and strong healthy growth box. The fertiliser provides an extended nitrogen release to ensure nutrients are available as the plants grow. Directions for use: Note: 1 small gloved handful contains approximately 30g (1oz) Planting Buxus in permanent positions:Buxus is best planted in autumn or spring. The ground should be cultivated to at least 8in depth for best results. For individual 15-20cm (6-8in) containers or bare-root plants, take 60g (2oz) of feed and sprinkle part of it into the bottom of the planting hole and fork in. Use the balance of the fertiliser with the fill-in soil and firm in the plant. For hedge planting use 60-120g Buxus feed per linear metre of planting.For larger container stock (greater than 20cm or 8in) apply 60g to the platting hole, lightly fork in and mix 60g into the fill in soil. Top DressingBuxus hedges can benefit from a regular top dressing when planting in a permanent position in the ground. Apply evenly to the soil as recommended below, when the soil is moist When top dressing containers use 1 teaspoonful per 15-20cm (6-8in) of pot diameter, working into the surface of the soil where possible.In the spring following planting, sprinkle 60g (2oz) of feed evenly into the soil under the canopy. Repeat the application at the end of June or early July. For best results, apply during dry conditions, hoe in lightly and water well. Buxus feed can safely be used as a top dressing for other shrubs and trees (except those preferring ericaceous soil). In March, apply 60g for plants up to 60cm (2ft); for plants to 120cm (4ft) apply 120g and for standard trees use 180g. Repeat the application at the end of June/early July.
