Raspberry 'Glen Lyon' is one of the earliest raspberries to fruit, starting in mid-July and running into August. It is from the famous Scottish breeding program, so is a good British bred variety that performs well in British weather! It is a Floricane variety, so you will get fruit in the second season after planting, as Floricane raspberries produce fruit on old wood. This close relative of the raspberry is really something special and is perfectly suited to UK gardens as it loves moist soils and will easily withstand the coldest winter weather.
