Cherry Stella and Morello Duo Tree - Now everyone can grow fruit trees in the minimum of space! These incredible duo fruit trees have been meticulously grafted by highly skilled nurserymen, to create 2 different trees growing on one rootstock! Each of the varieties will produce bumper crops of delicious full sized fruit! Because they are already trained into a V shape, they are perfect for growing up a wall Cherry Stella. 'Stella' Cherry is 'Self-Fertile' (which means it does not need a second variety of cherry tree to pollinate it) and is a really heavy, reliable cropper because it has good resistance to late frosts. Unlike most other sweet cherry varieties, it will thrive in slightly exposed locations but can also be grown in a pot on your patio. The sweetly flavoured dark-skinned, plump and juicy, aromatic fruits will be ready to pick from mid late July each year and from the third growing season onwards you can expect upwards of 5kg (11lbs) of sweet fruits per tree, which will save a small fortune compared to paying supermarket prices! The fruits are packed with juice and the skin colour is dark red. It is one of the most reliable croppers of all the sour cherries because it is self-fertile, late flowering and so less susceptible to frost damage, plus it is incredibly disease resistant - a real winner for any garden! 'Morello' Cherry is also a great tree to grow on a north-facing wall because even in a cooler position with low light levels it will still grow and thrive and fruit as normal. You can usually expect to pick the fruits from late August onwards. Supplied as an established plant in a 7.5L pot, ready to plant out.
Also known as the Japanese Grey Bark Elm, Zelkova serrata is a wonderful starting point as you enter the magical world of bonsai. It is a delightful deciduous tree with a naturally upright growing habit, peeling grey bark and serrated glossy dark green leaves. Years of highly skilled training and pruning have resulted in an elegantly shaped miniature tree, grown in a special ceramic bonsai pot and already well established. A native of Japan and China, Zelkova is happy in a cool, bright room away from heat sources, and it will also thrive outdoors from early summer, where it will soon acclimatise to cooler nights and warmer days. As a deciduous tree, it will lose its leaves in the autumn, and it's at this time that you should bring it back indoors for the winter, gradually reacclimatising. Trees that have been kept indoors year-round may retain some of their foliage over winter. Bonsai need regular watering as they can easily dry out. This is especially important if your Zelkova is growing outdoors, when the small amount of compost in the pot can dry out amazingly quickly on a warm, sunny day. Also, regular feeding between March and September is necessary to keep it growing healthily. Pruning will be required to maintain the shape of your tree, so give it a light trim each autumn. Also, during the growing season any long shoots or crossing branches should be trimmed back. Supplied ready planted, 22-25cm tall including a 12cm ceramic bonsai pot with tray.
Here's a real novelty indoor plant that will provide interest every day as you see your own deliciously sweet pineapple develop atop this well-established, potted plant. A member of the Bromeliad family, it's the perfect indoor plant for a sunny kitchen or conservatory windowsill, needing little care and attention save a little water and the occasional feed. The plants are exactly the same as those used in commercial pineapple plantations across the world, so you can be assured of the best tasting fruit - right here in the UK on your windowsill. Do not confuse these big specimens with tiny decorative, non-edible plant available elsewhere online. Each plant is delivered with a pineapple fruit already growing so your plant is guaranteed to fruit this year. For best results water the compost keeping it moist and also keep a little water in the cups of the leaf rosette. When the pineapple is plump and ripe (about the size of an orange) remove and enjoy! Once the fruit is removed, an offset will appear which may fruit in following years and an entirely new plant can even be raised by cutting off the leaf crown and planting in compost.

A truly dramatic garden plant, a close relative of borage, it produces the most spectacular tall flower spikes seemingly from nowhere in summer. Despite its common name of 'Pride of Madeira', it is hardy in the UK down to -5C or so, particularly where it is drier in winter. It is biennial, so needs one cold winter after germination to flower - so these plants will flower in their first year and beyond. Once your echium has established and flowered, it will self-seed prolifically and, unless we have a really harsh winter, you will never have to plant another as you will always have plenty of seedlings! E. candicans will grow to around 1m (3ft) in its first year, then in its second, it produces its magnificent flower - in milder areas the plants keep growing all year around and, after a frost-free winter, you will see enormous flower spikes. Expect flowering spikes in July or later. Although plants are hardy when kept dry, leaves can still be damaged by frost and cold winds, and the cold will kill plants that are in wet ground, so protect plants over winter with fleece or similar product. A common sight in Cornwall as well, Echiums are best grown in very well drained soils, or in large pots with plenty of sand or grit for drainage. When it does grow in spring, keep it well watered between May and August as it grows quickly. Echiums self-seed over a small area, and once these seedlings have germinated and over-wintered, they too may flower away, and a little colony will appear. Truly spectacular and one of the best plants that you can grow to attract pollinating insects into your garden.
Also known as Heavenly or Sacred Bamboo, Nandina will bring a bright flash of dazzling colour to your borders or patio pots, making it invaluable in winter when there's little colour around. Not unlike a colourful version of our own native holly, Nandina 'Twilight' has a bushy, upright habit with toothpick-straight stems, making it an excellent candidate for containers - and this particular variety has beautiful variegated leaves that give off a sultry pink glow. Being evergreen, Nandina retains its foliage throughout the year and the colours take on deeper and more saturated hues as the temperature dips. A true multi-season feature plant, in spring, new leaves emerge flushed with pink, green and cream; then in summer, small creamy white flowers are followed by green berries, before the leaves develop more colour and the berries turn sealing-wax red - just superb! Really easy to grow - just plant it and enjoy a spectrum of delightful colours through the seasons. Supplied as an established plant in a 3-litre pot, ready to plant.
If you have always wanted to grow your own apricots, this is the perfect time to start! 'Early Moorpark' is self-fertile and will grow and thrive in UK conditions, cropping reliably year after year. It produces deliciously flavoured, aromatic, bright yellow fruits, which take on an attractive orange-red tinge when fully ripe and are ready to pick in August. The fragrant, light-pink blossom appears in early spring before the leaves start growing, making a beautiful display. Whilst the tree itself is fully winter hardy, to guarantee a good crop of apricots, plant it in full sun but against a south-facing fence or wall and cover with fleece to give further frost protection when it is in full flower. The pollinating insects will then set to work and make lots of lovely fruits to pick later in the year. Once fully established, you might expect to pick 200-300 fruits per tree! If you don't have room in your garden, 'Moorpark' will be perfect to grow in a pot on your patio or balcony.
A simply stunning Patio Peach tree, 'Crimson (R) Bonfire' has been selected for it's unique and delightful burgundy purple foliage and red coloured peach fruits, all on a genetically dwarf tree too. Imagine relaxing on your patio in early Summer - the last of the heavenly sweet scent of Mediterranean peach blossom filling the air. Then in late August, reaching out and plucking one of your very own delicious, juicy ripe peaches! This stunning compact peach tree is so easy to grow, perfect in a pot and because it flowers later than many varieties it fruits much more successfully too. A beautifully symmetrical shaped tree, its foliage has a delightfully rich burgundy colouration. Combined with the crimson peaches it makes a particularly exotic and decorative addition to any patio. Completely winter hardy no matter how cold it gets, you can look forward to your very own harvest of home-grown peaches for years to come. TOP TIP: Peach fruit yield will be increased by keeping the fruit tree canopy dry in blossom and pollination time, such as in a greenhouse, conservatory or lean-to. Although self-fertile, using a dry small artist's paintbrush to brush pollen from flower to flower will hugely increase fruit set too. This will massively reduce the curse of Peach Leaf Curl too. Patio Peach 'Crimson (R) Bonfire' really is a delightful little tree, for years and years of enjoyment.

Now, through using the right varieties, you can grow fresh Nectarines here in the UK too. 'Flavour Top' is a large frutiing variety and slow growing, suited to smaller gardens and large pots, it will only reach 7-8ft in 10 years or so. We suggest growing in a pot, as it can be moved indoors in Spring to avoid peach leaf-curl by keeping the foliage dry, and also you can then let it develop over the Summer where the fruits can be seen and easily picked too. It is self-fertile, and a heavy cropper - producing fruit in the first two or three years, with bigger crops in years 5 onwards. Some people report such heavy crops they need to thin the fruitlets down! It produces classic red fruits, very juicy, that easily leave the stone when eaten. Nectarine 'Flavour Top' really is hard to fault.
